This stone is dedicated to the poem of Petra van den E.:
always by train
as in books
because, then I can continue
in my mind
people
passing landscape
a dark station
in the left corner of my eye
getting off
in moonlighted
landscape
smells I cannot
identify
de peace of discovering
of creeping rivers
until soft mountains
illuminated in ocher
boarding
when the train stops
in a sheltering village
continue on foot
and knowing that returning
is never the same
PM 2016”
This stone started travelling on 2019-05-16.
Besides the travelling stones, there are also “resting stones” with stories, placed on the trail. Together all these stones form the international art routes.
