You found a Caminostone!

This is only one of the many “resting stones” on the trail. Each of these stones carries its own, unique story, emotion of memory of one of the participants of the project. The stone prefers to remain on this spot, next to this trail.

This stone is dedicated to the story of Jan W.:

Dear Andrea, I also wanted to walk to Santiago 12 years ago when I retired. However, things went differently than expected. At that time we had our grandson Noud. After a year of regular hospital visits, they found out that Noud has the very serious rare metabolic disease of Canavan. Noud needs 24 hours of care, I do this together with my wife and my daughter and her husband. That is why it did not happen. Noud is EVERYTHING for me and a darling of a guy. We would like a black panther and an eagle on his stone if it’s possible.
When Noud was hospitalized in a critical state, he had that cuddly black panther with him. The eagle is in relation to his name. This has an invaluable value for me because I can not do it myself any more. Find yourself a nice spot for the stone, I trust someone who makes these beautiful pieces of art, Andrea. Many greetings and success with this beautiful initiative. Grandad of Noud the sweetest guy in the world.

Besides the resting stones, there are also “travelling stones” on the trail. These stones will start a journey to spread the story or message of a participant

This artproject wants to surprise hikers on international trails through miniature art. The artroutes are free and available through GPX or map.

A second goal is to initiate a new form of communication and awareness, through art and social media. The participant and I are looking forward for your story or response on this stone! (possibly with photo)
