This stone is dedicated to the story of the white-tailed eagle:
Spread the word and move the stone!
The sea eagle builds a very large nest that is often used for years. The nest is located in the crown of a tree, but also on the ground in treeless areas. She usually lays 2 eggs. The egg comes out after 38 days. The sea eagle child can fly after 70-90 days.
The white-tailed eagle (Haliaeetus albicilla) is extinct in Belgium. The eagle does appear in SPain and France. In The Netherlands the eagle has appeared again in low numbers. Via this stone I want to give this beautiful bird extra attention.”
This stone started travelling on 2019-07-03.
Besides the travelling stones, there are also “resting stones” with stories, placed on the trail. Together all these stones form the international art routes.

This stone is dedicated to the story of the white-tailed eagle:
“The white-tailed eagle is part of a series travelling miniature stones depicting endangered or vulnerable animals in Europe. I want to bring attention to these special animals through this art project.
