This stone is dedicated to the story of the Spanish imperial eagle:
Spread the word and move the stone!
These birds are big! They are 75 to 85 cm long, with a wing span of 1.8 to 2.1 m.The Imperial Eagle mainly feeds on rabbits but also rodents, pigeons, crows, ducks and foxes (!) are on his menu.
The Spanish imperial eagle is vulnerable in that appears in Spain and some of Portugal. The latin name is dedicated to Adalbert Willem van Beieren. Via this stone I want to give this beautiful bird extra attention.”
This stone started travelling on 2019-06-10.
Besides the travelling stones, there are also “resting stones” with stories, placed on the trail. Together all these stones form the international art routes.
