Welcome to the Caminostones Artroute

An inspiring artproject of travelling miniatures and art on the walking trails.

In April 2019 a new art project will be carried out between Maastricht (NL) and Santiago (Sp).
A trail of 101 miniature painted stones for 101 stories.
Every stone carries a unique story or message of one of the participants in the project or that of an endangered specie.

There are 2 types of stones: traveling and resting.
Traveling stones can be taken by walkers on the trail, to spread the stone with its story.
The resting stone is painted for a memory or emotion, that I leave behind for the participant besides the trail. This stone is meant to remain on the trail.

Goal is to pleasantly surprise participants and walkers on the trail, by miniature painted art and stories.

This will become the 4rth art route of Caminostones on one of the international trails.
The routes and stones are easy to use and free, using the QR-codes of the stones and a mobile website.

If this project affects you, the participants and I would love to see your response! !

[…] hard to not get sucked into this. My backlog in books and games is daunting. Andrea wants to go walking to Santiago de Compostella and after finishing her website I will also join her a couple of times […]
