Caminostones

You found a traveling stone!

Part of an inspiring artproject with travelling miniatures and art on the walking trails.

These unique painted stones travel around the world. Every travelling stone carries its own story or message, of a participant or about the trail. Here you find info about this project.
Below the story of this stone, location yourney and meetings with hikers.

The miniature, location and message.

This stone is for Jose Luis Salvator:

“Jose Luis Salvator lived from 1942 until 1995. He was one of the founders of the St. James Society in Seville and also the contemporary Via de la Plata.
The stone was placed at this memorial where he died, while he was marking the route on this location.
This is recurring on the Camino. Here and there you find memorials and photos of people who have died along the way.”

This stone started travelling on 2021-10-30.

This artproject wants to pleasantly surprise hikers through stories and miniature art. A second goal is to initiate a new form of connection and awareness, through art and social media. The participant and I are looking forward to your response on this stone story!
