This stone is for the story of the Monastery of Santa Maria de Moreruela:
This is possibly the oldest Cistercian monastery in Spain. Its Construction started in the 1st half of the 12th century and was completed roughly a century later. It was partly renovated in 2007, but is still ruinous and authentic.
The church of the monastery is built in the Romanesque style, but with Gothic elements, such as the pointed vaults and the high apse.
The layout of the church and the remains clearly show that this was a huge building.”
This stone started travelling on 2021-11-15.
